Provide swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum. Enforce safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents. Perform rescues and administer first aid when necessary. Evaluate students’ progress and complete required paperwork in a timely manner. Interact with parents/guardians regarding activities and progress of students’ swim skills. Act as a Goldfish ambassador to ensure parental satisfaction. Use problem solving and creative thinking to identify and resolve challenges students encounter. Maintain and ensure proper storage of pool equipment; place and remove lane lines. Report accidents and incidents to management; complete required documentation. Attend mandatory workshops and in-service training outside of regular working hours. Fulfills other duties as assigned by the Employer. Qualifications
Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred. Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, and/or childcare provider preferred. Swimming experience preferred. Certificates and Licenses: Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred. Shallow water attendant highly recommended. Ability to work with children. Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills. Must pass background examinations (included with training). Must be able to read, understand, and communicate in English to a conversational level. Job Details

Regularly exposed to heat and humidity; noise level is usually moderate. Each Goldfish Swim School is an independently owned and operated franchise. The respective Franchisee is the employer at each location. Franchisees set wages, benefits, and terms of employment, which may vary by location.
