Qualifications: Master's Degree in Communication and Speech Disorders Type C teaching certification through state of AK Dept of Ed. Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome to apply! Role Overview:

As an SLP, you will develop and implement individualized education and treatment programs for students whose communication abilities have been impacted by developmental differences, disabilities, or injuries. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development. Job Details: Your caseload will primarily consist of mainstream students with diagnoses such as speech delays, articulation issues, stuttering, and developmental delays. Previous school system experience (fieldwork) as a Speech-Language Pathologist is a plus but not required. Familiarity with the IEP process is also beneficial. You will receive ample support from our team, whether you need help settling in or assistance with your job duties; we are committed to teamwork! To be considered for employment, CCC certification is preferred; however, strong CFs with school-based fieldwork are eligible and welcome to apply. Key Responsibilities: Manage and organize specialized materials, equipment, and environments essential to the speech and language program. Provide educationally related communication interventions for students with language, speech, or hearing disorders in various settings as appropriate. Assess speech and language skills of students suspected of having communication disorders and collaborate with teachers to develop IEP goals and objectives. Provide resources, modeling strategies, and training to other team members in communication interventions. Regularly communicate the results of individual student assessments and progress with involved school staff (special and general education), parents, and where appropriate, the student.
