Overview Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse Specialist and play a vital role in the success of our retail operations. You will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks under the guidance of the Store Manager, focusing on merchandise handling and ensuring a smooth flow from the warehouse to the sales floor. Your primary duties will include unloading merchandise trucks, inventory control, and preparing products for display. You will also maintain cleanliness and order in the warehouse and perform touch-ups and repairs on furniture. Your timely execution of moving merchandise is crucial in providing excellent customer service in line with our company standards. Responsibilities Manage and control store and customer merchandise effectively. Secure and maintain company-issued tools. Oversee cleaning supplies and equipment, notifying management of repairs as needed. Inspect, clean, and prepare merchandise for the showroom or customer pickups. Handle Inventory Control and Customer Load Outs efficiently. Support store security and ensure a safe shopping environment. Learn and adhere to the company's loss prevention program, identifying hazards and reporting unsafe conditions. Assist with customer pickups when applicable and unload incoming merchandise. Safely move merchandise using a dolly and maintain vehicle security. Keep the showroom, office, restrooms, and surrounding areas clean and well-maintained. Participate in additional projects as assigned by Store Management. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Minimum of six months experience in retail customer service and delivery. Ability to read maps, shipping documents, and assembly instructions. Strong communication skills for interaction with customers and team members. Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively. Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills. Mechanical ability for servicing upholstery and case goods. Valid driver’s license with a clean record; eligible for DOT certification to operate a box truck if required. Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs and move 200 lbs safely with assistance. Willingness to perform various physical activities as needed. Other Environmental Conditions:
