Collections and Credit Specialist

at our Penn Waste site in

Manchester, PA . In this role, you will dive into research of delinquent customer accounts and assist with foreclosure recoveries, while enjoying a collaborative atmosphere focused on problem-solving and communication. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain keen attention to detail while focusing on project tasks to ensure timely completion. Conduct thorough research on overdue customer accounts to drive resolution. Accurately post fees and maintain organized customer account records. Handle professional inbound and outbound calls with diverse customer personalities. Utilize negotiation skills to establish payment arrangements. Proactively communicate issues to management, identifying root causes and suggesting action plans. Schedule and manage auto dialer calls for both residential and commercial accounts. Become proficient in our customer database, Trux. Generate weekly reports using Excel; proficiency in Excel is essential. Cross-train in accounts receivables and additional assigned tasks. Assist with unclaimed property research for customer refunds. Analyze and resolve misapplied payments and account discrepancies. Conduct collection efforts for accounts in foreclosure. Timely process aging accounts to third-party collections and maintain a collections tracker. Ensure accurate and timely filing of civil complaints. With training, prepare judgment paperwork and attend civil hearings when required. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A passion for research to uncover necessary data. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required. Experience in Cash Management.
