You’ll work on diverse projects supporting client engagements by collaborating with team members, delivering a quality work product, and meeting deadlines. Support the Customer Tax Operations practice with the preparation and delivery of tax information reporting (1099/1042-S/8804), FATCA/CRS reporting, tax withholding certificate validation (Forms W-8/W-9) and related withholding and reporting reconciliations for engagements with banks, wealth and asset management firms, and insurance companies. Operate in a collaborative culture with emphasis on listening and sharing information with colleagues. Skills And Attributes For Success
Timely, efficient and accurate production of information reporting in a volume-driven environment within government deadlines and client performance standards. Ability to balance multiple projects and engage with multiple teams to serve multiple clients. Understanding of withholding certificates (Forms W-8/W-9) and FATCA/CRS Self-Certification forms, and related information returns for accuracy in tax reporting. Familiarity with vendor and client systems supporting tax operations. Ability to analyze bridged customer data and transaction information to identify errors and apply basic tax concepts to adjust tax reporting. Strong communication with clients and internal stakeholders; proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and proprietary client collaboration tools. Ability to gather required information and obtain instructions for timely, accurate production of tax information reporting. Support billing and collections for tax compliance and related services. Assist with reconciliation of customer demographic data, transaction data and tax information returns to ensure complete, accurate and timely filing; resolve discrepancies. Regularly communicate with supervisor and colleagues to obtain guidance, provide status updates and discuss data issue corrections for accuracy and consistency in tax reporting. Qualifications
Bachelor degree (Accounting, Business, Finance or equivalent preferred). 1–2 years of experience. Proficient in basic software applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn other software. Working knowledge of 1099/1042-S reporting systems. Working knowledge of tax compliance and information reporting rules. Ability to work effectively both independently and with a team on projects of varying complexity. Willingness to apply education and on-the-job experience to essential functions of the job. Assist with training less experienced team members on administrative tasks and tax compliance support. Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills. Ability to follow standardized processes and ask questions when needed. Prioritization of assignments to maintain workflow and timely production of client deliverables. Commit to periodic travel (5%–10%). Nice To Have
Experience in a professional services environment. Knowledge of information reporting and withholding tax laws for US federal and state returns. Experience with tax withholding validation and complete withholding certificates. Experience with FATCA/CRS reporting templates. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
