Sewing Supervisor Job Purpose:
Inspect finished sewing projects to ensure a quality product was produced. Duties And Responsibilities
Perform visual inspection of finished product to ensure: ½ inch seams Stitches are straight Ensure there are no skipped stitches Ensure piece is sewn to specifications Ensure there are no holes or flaws in the fabric / leather Measure welt for correct length using a ruler Other duties as assigned by Manager Working Conditions
Heated and cooled furniture manufacturing plant with concrete floors. Supervision

Minimum Experience Requirements:
Manufacturing experience. Preferred Experience Requirements:
Experience in furniture manufacturing. Minimum Education Requirements:
Less than High School Preferred Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Skills
Physical & Environmental Requirements Must be able to read a ruler. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to describe and convey nonconformance issues. Strict attention to detail. Team player with a positive attitude. Ability to work with minimum supervision. Must have own reliable transportation. Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours a day. Must be able to work weekends and overtime. Must be reliable. Strong English language skills (Reading, Comprehending, Speaking, Writing). Must be able to wear required safety PPE such as safety glasses and closed-toe/closed-heel shoes. Must adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Equal Opportunity
