Overview
Senior Staff Accountant role seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join a collaborative and fast-paced accounting team. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this position is responsible for key aspects of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives. Base compensation
Base pay range: $60,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Perform general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures. Review reports and accounting processes to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal controls. Develop and deliver periodic financial reports for senior leadership. Assist with financial projections, variance analysis, and research of accounting issues. Participate in internal control and process improvement projects, including documenting procedures and recommending efficiencies. Provide support and mentorship to other team members, fostering knowledge-sharing and collaboration. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (minimum GPA 3.25 required). 5–7 years of experience in corporate accounting, financial analysis, or a similar professional role. Industry experience in Banking or Financial Services is preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general PC applications. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Proven ability to take initiative and drive tasks to completion. Experience working on challenging projects and contributing to the accuracy of financial reporting and internal controls. Benefits
