A confidential state agency is seeking a motivated

SAP Junior Technical Support Engineer

to join its

Human Resources Systems Support Team

on the SAP ECC (SCEIS) platform. The role involves configuring, maintaining, and enhancing the agency’s SAP HR and administrative systems within SAP ECC HR modules. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and capable of supporting HR and IT teams in modernizing workflows, improving data quality, and ensuring compliance with agency and federal standards. Key Responsibilities

Configure and maintain

SAP ECC HR modules

to align with evolving business needs. Identify opportunities to

automate workflows , streamline HR operations, and reduce manual data entry. Support

data quality and reporting

initiatives using SAP tools, Excel, and Power BI. Conduct

unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT)

for system changes and enhancements. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, escalating complex problems when necessary. Maintain technical documentation, configuration records, SOPs, and training materials. Collaborate with HR, IT, and Finance teams to ensure accurate, secure, and efficient data management. Support compliance with

NIST 800-53, FISMA , and state-level IT security policies. Create and manage change requests using

DevOps or equivalent ticketing systems . Required Skills

Hands-on experience with

SAP ECC HR modules , including system configuration, testing, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of

state HR/payroll processes , data privacy standards ( HIPAA, FLSA ), and regulatory compliance. Strong skills in

data validation, integrity monitoring, and error resolution . Experience building reports and dashboards using

SAP, Excel, and Power BI . Proficiency with

Microsoft Office Suite

(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and

SharePoint . Understanding of

role-based access control (RBAC)

and position-driven access design. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to implement sustainable solutions. Preferred Skills

Familiarity with

IT security frameworks

(NIST 800-53, FISMA, or SC InfoSec). Experience in

technical documentation

and process design. Understanding of IT development lifecycles and system implementation projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Education

Bachelor’s degree in

Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field , or equivalent work experience. Why Join
