Job Details We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to showcase their skills in a fast‑paced, challenging, and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support to our attorneys, particularly in trial preparation, and will play a crucial role in our litigation process.
Responsibilities
Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including research, document review, evidence gathering, and witness preparation.
Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests and responses.
Manage and organize case files, ensuring all relevant information is easily accessible and up-to-date.
Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other parties involved in litigation matters.
Conduct legal research to support case strategy development and to stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
Attend trials, depositions, and hearings, taking detailed notes and providing real-time assistance to attorneys.
Coordinate the preparation of exhibits, charts, and timelines for use in court.
Ensure compliance with court rules and procedures in all filings and interactions.
Perform administrative tasks as needed, such as scheduling meetings, maintaining attorney calendars, and organizing case-related correspondence.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Law, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a strong focus on trial preparation.
Exceptional knowledge of federal and state court rules, procedures, and protocols.
Proficiency in legal research tools and databases, such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
High attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to producing high‑quality work.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Paralegal certification is preferred but not required.
