The Marketing and Design Specialist is a vital, hands-on role responsible for the creation and execution of the agency’s marketing materials and brand identity. This position requires a professional who is both a skilled graphic designer and a highly organized coordinator, capable of managing logistical operations, overseeing production projects (like video), and ensuring all content adheres to strict compliance standards. This role reports to the Marketing Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing and Design Content:
Design and create a wide range of marketing materials, including digital ads, social media graphics, flyers, brochures, newsletters, presentations, and website content, ensuring all assets adhere to brand guidelines.
Social Media & Website:
Manage the agency’s social media presence, including content scheduling, community engagement, performance analysis, and maintaining up-to-date website content.
Campaign & Email Marketing:
Assist in the development and execution of email marketing campaigns and translate marketing strategies into actionable campaigns across channels.
Logistics & Production Oversight:
Oversee the full lifecycle of marketing supplies and multimedia projects, including vendor selection, ordering, inventory management, and distribution of promotional items; manage the marketing supply budget and ensure materials are available for agents and events.
Agent Conference & Event Coordination:
Serve as the primary coordinator for agent attendance at external conferences, industry events, and training seminars; handle registrations and material preparation; manage relationships with organizers and secure exhibit space or sponsorships when required.
Compliance & Brand Oversight:
Ensure all external communications are reviewed for E&O compliance, proper disclaimer usage, and adherence to brand guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Attributes
Core Marketing & Technical Skills:
Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and the ability to create visually compelling marketing collateral.
Campaign Creation & Execution:
Ability to translate marketing strategies into campaigns across print, digital, email, and social channels, with understanding of the core sales process.
Brand & Compliance Adherence:
Apply design and content within brand guidelines and regulatory requirements, including mandatory disclaimers and compliance language.
Digital Content Production:
Experience with digital content production, basic website CMS, and email platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact).
Media Production & Project Oversight:
Experience with basic video editing or photography and the ability to oversee the full production lifecycle with external vendors.
Organizational & Project Management:
Strong organizational skills for logistics, inventory management, and managing multiple projects with deadlines.
Educational Background:
High School diploma required; a degree in a relevant field is preferred.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Standard physical requirements; work is in-office in Hagerstown with a medium-paced environment.
Professional & Interpersonal Attributes:
Initiative, clear communication, collaboration, adaptability, and learning agility.
Work environment: medium-paced, minimal noise, team orientation with solo projects. In-person at the office in Hagerstown.
