Job Description Payment Ecosystem Risk and Controls is a Global Risk group tasked with protecting the Global Payment Ecosystem against threats and abuse by transforming risk controls, leveraging intelligence-driven solutions, and upholding Visa’s Rules and Standards. Programs are deployed through Visa Rules and client guidelines, and Visa performs quality control leveraging proprietary tools, regional risk teams, and other stakeholders. The team collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to advance its charter and initiatives.

Responsibilities

Execute analytics and reporting initiatives delivering data-driven insights to internal and external stakeholders, including Visa executives, issuing banks, acquirers, processors, merchants, regulators.

Provide strong analytical and data storytelling skills for executive and regional delivery.

Collaborate with client-facing teams and functional leaders to provide data and insights that deliver mutual value to Visa and its clients through improved payment security.

Work on Visa’s core data and systems and contribute to developing industry-leading capabilities to protect Visa and clients from emerging payment threats.

Work independently and as part of a team to deliver on a dynamic set of needs in a fast-paced environment.

Perform Program Operations function — analyze ecosystem compliance program design through data, assess impact with data simulations, and resolve data refute cases within defined SLAs.

Conduct in-depth analyses and deliver insights on regional and global priorities.

Contribute to a high-performing culture and define product requirements and roadmaps based on business needs, network rules, and industry best practices.

Ensure data-driven decision making is a priority for clients and internal/external stakeholders.

Translate data into actionable insights and drive strategic decision-making through collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Effectively communicate analytical findings to stakeholders at all levels, verbally and in writing.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications:

5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 2+ years with an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or 0 years with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications:

6+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 4+ years with an Advanced Degree, or up to 3 years with a PhD.

Proficiency in data analysis and use of diverse data environments and tools.

High-level ability to manipulate data from various sources.

Big data experience (Hadoop, Hive, Spark), data visualization (Tableau, Power BI), and/or SQL.

Strong verbal, written, motivational, and interpersonal skills.

Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Working knowledge of scripting languages like Python, with a foundational understanding of machine learning concepts.

Collaborative mindset to work effectively within cross-functional teams.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for data-driven decision making.

Varies with department needs.

Travel Requirements:

5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements:

Office setting; ability to sit/stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, operate standard office equipment.

U.S. Applicants Only:

The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $131,600.00 to $190,650.00 per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments. Salary may vary based on knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
