We are looking for a talented

System / Network Administrator

to maintain, configure, and ensure the reliable operation of our systems, including servers, networks, security, backups, and cloud services.We are an employee-owned environmental engineering firm focused on the planning, design, and oversight of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure.

Hybrid onsite 2-3 days per week in Irvine, CA

Job Duties

Administer computer networks, hardware, system software, applications, and all configurations.

Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs) and software.

Install and integrate new server hardware and applications, keeping systems updated with the latest software patches.

Administer and maintain virtualized environments (e.g., Hyper‑V, Citrix) and cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS).

Monitor network performance and security to proactively identify and resolve issues and test for weaknesses.

Troubleshoot and resolve network and system problems reported by end‑users.

Perform regular data backups and disaster recovery operations.

Manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords within Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra.

Implement and maintain security measures, including anti‑virus, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.

Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of the network and system infrastructure.

Ideal Background

5+ years of experience in a system or network administration role.

Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Server and client operating systems.

Experience managing and maintaining Microsoft Active Directory/Entra.

Experience with virtualization (Hyper‑V, Citrix) and cloud technologies (Azure, AWS).

Familiarity with Sonicwall or similar networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls).

Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP) and services (DNS, DHCP).

Familiarity with security tools and best practices.

Excellent problem‑solving, critical‑thinking, and communication skills.

Experience with Linux administration is a plus.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
