HIRING IMMEDIATELY. Sunstates Security is hiring Flex Security Officers for the Fort Wayne, IN area to work on-call/as needed. All shifts and days are available. Pay rate: $17.00/hr with weekly pay. Benefits include a 401(k) with employer match (up to 8%) for those who work 20 hours a week (minimum 500 hours per year or more) and have completed six months of service with Sunstates Security. Requirements Must have reliable transportation. One year of experience in security, military, or law enforcement is preferred. Excellent customer service skills. Willing and able to work holidays, weekends, and in all weather conditions. Must regularly stand or walk for extended periods of time and distance. Exceptional report writing skills. Ability to analyze situations, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure within area of responsibility. Able to work independently. Read and understand written instruction and communicate information clearly in written form. Flex Officer Explanation

The Flex Officer position is crucial to the company’s operational and financial success. Flex Officers provide trained, competent support by working shifts that open due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other causes. This enables Sunstates to provide continual, uninterrupted service to customers while protecting the health and work balance of personnel. Scheduling Expectations

The scheduling parameters for a Flex Officer differ from a fixed-post employee. You will be trained at various posts/facilities based on need. Your schedule will vary, and you will be assigned or offered shifts as they become available. Some shifts may be posted in advance; some may require short notice. You are expected to work scheduled shifts within your availability. If you will be unavailable, communicate this with your supervisor. For short-notice call-ins, you are expected to work at least 80% of the shifts you are called for. Refusing more than 20% of shifts could impact employment status. A Security Officer may perform duties as specified by Post Orders and SOP and must read and follow these directives. Education Requirements
