Base pay range $1,781.00/yr - $1,830.00/yr
Responsibilities
The Activity Assistant is responsible for organizing, scheduling, promoting, facilitating, and directing activities and excursions for the Community to enhance residents’ independence and quality of life.
Assist the Activity Director in providing an engaging social atmosphere and promoting resident participation through regularly scheduled activities, excursions, events, guest speakers, movie showings, exercise sessions, clubs, games, art and creativity opportunities, educational classes, and other activities.
Develop, recruit, manage, and schedule Community Volunteers as requested.
Communicate effectively and with tact and friendliness with residents, families, visitors, coworkers, and supervisors.
Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests by following established safety standards.
Able to drive Community vehicles.
Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with coworkers and other departments.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prefer one (1) year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
Requires current Class C license; prefer Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement.
Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.).
Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests including physical and TB tests.
Oakmont may require vaccination, daily screening, surveillance testing, and wearing PPE to prevent spread of COVID-19 or other communicable diseases per regulatory guidelines.
