In this vital role, you will lead our organization’s financial strategy during a transformational expansion phase. You will be crucial in financial planning, capital management, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of our mission-driven work. Your responsibilities will encompass all financial aspects, including budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. Collaborating closely with the Board of Directors, you will align financial strategies with our goals.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field, with a Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of 15 years of progressive financial experience, including 5-7 years in a senior financial leadership role, is required. You must hold a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or a similar professional certification, along with significant experience in not-for-profit finance, with a strong grasp of GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards.
This role requires a strategic thinker experienced in financial modeling, forecasting, and ROI analysis, with a successful track record in financing capital projects and managing large-scale initiatives. Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills are essential, as is a dedication to our organization's mission of conservation, education, and making a positive environmental impact.
