Overview
Hybrid - Senior Accountant This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive compensation and benefits. The Senior Accountant provides financial leadership, maintains financial records, manages financial processes, and offers financial insights to guide strategic decisions for a dynamic engineering firm. Responsibilities
Preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Performing account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies. Participating in budget preparation and financial forecasting. Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements. Assisting with internal and external audits to ensure compliance. Streamlining accounting functions and operations to improve accuracy and efficiency. Providing financial analysis and reports to management for decision-making purposes. Overseeing the work of junior accounting staff. Identifying opportunities for process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency. Maintaining confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive financial information. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred. Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the engineering industry. In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills. Experience with accounting software and databases. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
