Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the preparation and filing of various tax returns, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong background in corporate tax and a solid understanding of sales & use tax and property tax. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review timely and accurate federal, state, and local income tax returns. Manage the preparation and filing of multi-state sales & use tax returns. Oversee the company\'s property tax reporting and compliance, including renditions and returns. Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740. Research and analyze complex tax issues and legislation to ensure compliance and optimize the company\'s tax position. Respond to tax notices and correspond with various tax authorities. Support tax audits and provide necessary documentation and analysis. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the tax function. Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary data for tax compliance and planning. Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or Master’s in Taxation preferred. 2-5 years of relevant tax experience, ideally with a Big 4 accounting firm. Strong experience in corporate income tax compliance is essential. Hands-on experience with sales & use tax and property tax is highly preferred. Experience with tax provision (ASC 740) is a strong plus. Proficiency in tax software (e.g., OneSource, CorpTax) and advanced Excel skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
