A third generation family operated business is looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk for our corporate office in West Knoxville. We are a contractor that sells and services industrial power system across the country. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the overall accounting functions of the organization. This position will assist our Controller and requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software to ensure compliance with corporate accounting standards. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Responsibilities
Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts. Investigate and resolve problems associated with processing of invoices. Create and manage credit memos and customer account adjustments. Coordinate with Sales and Operations to set up new Vendors and Customers. Oversee Vehicle Tags Renewals and Vehicle Titles. Interact with billing to resolve any invoice discrepancies. Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and account management. Support month-end closing processes by preparing necessary documentation and reports. Ability to utilize accounting software for efficient processing of accounts. Qualifications
Accounting degree or 2+ years of experience preferred. Previous experience with accounting functions and software. Organization and time management skills. Microsoft Office experience, Excel formulas, sorting, and filtering functions. Ability to work independently. Maintain a positive, cooperative, and teachable attitude. Ability to pass a background check and drug screen. Compensation and Benefits
