Location: – starting pay: $20.65 - $23.23/hour. Status: Full‑time | Immediate hire.

Schedule: Open availability required, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities As a Railroad Switchman at ConGlobal, you will play a critical role in the safe and efficient movement of railcars within our terminal. You’ll be responsible for monitoring and aligning track switch points, inspecting track conditions, and safely coupling and uncoupling railcars. This hands‑on role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to operational safety.

Monitor and operate track switches to ensure proper alignment for railcar movement.

Inspect track conditions and switch points to identify any issues affecting safe operation.

Couple and uncouple air hoses between railcars as part of train assembly or disassembly.

Replace damaged or broken railcar connectors (approximately 75 lbs).

Communicate with train crews and yard personnel to ensure coordinated rail movements.

Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Maintain awareness of surroundings and potential hazards in a high‑traffic rail environment.

Qualifications

2‑3 years of rail experience desired.

Switching or conductor experience preferred.

Valid driver's license.

Ability to always follow safety requirements and practices.

Reliable, punctual and a strong work ethic.

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Ability to climb ladders and stairs both off and on railcars.

Must pass a pre‑employment background verification, physical and drug screening.

Open availability.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in rail yard or switching operations.

Familiarity with rail safety protocols and procedures.

Training in railcar or track maintenance is a plus.
