Overview
Azure System Administrator — onsite in Austin, TX (locals only). Responsibilities
Deploy, configure, and maintain Azure virtual machines, storage accounts, virtual networks, and other cloud services. Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity using Azure Monitor and related tools. Create and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or ARM/Bicep templates to streamline deployments and operations. Implement and maintain Azure security controls, including identity and access management, NSGs, and policies to meet compliance standards. Manage Azure Backup, Site Recovery, and disaster recovery plans. Administer Azure Active Directory, group policies, and role-based access control (RBAC). Provide Level 2/3 support for cloud-related issues, incident response, and root cause analysis. Work closely with DevOps, networking, and security teams to ensure smooth integration of cloud resources. Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, processes, and standard operating procedures. Office/M365 User and Group administration with ability to/experience with: Mailbox management (archiving, message trace) Modify/troubleshoot MS Teams settings Mailbox/message security (identify and export suspicious traffic and upload for analysis by security team) Familiarity with Azure Infrastructure and Administration of Windows 11 / 2019/2022 server OS InTune. Requirements
5+ years of Azure system administration Solid experience with Azure Monitor, automation scripts (PowerShell, Azure CLI, or ARM/Bicep templates), Azure Active Directory, Office/M365 User and Group administration, Windows 11, Windows Server 2019/2022 OS InTune Currently live in the Austin, TX, area Willing to work fully onsite, M-F Eligible to work directly with any U.S. employer without requiring sponsorship at any time Good written and verbal communication skills Able to pass a background check and drug screen
