The role supports the Customer Tax Operations practice in delivering tax information reporting and related services to banks, wealth and asset management firms, and insurance companies. Support the Customer Tax Operations practice with the preparation and delivery of tax information reporting (1099/1042-S/8804), FATCA/CRS reporting, tax withholding certificate validation (Forms W-8/9) and related withholding and reporting reconciliations for engagements with banks, wealth and asset management firms and insurance companies. Participate in day-to-day interactions with team members to provide a quality work product and ensure timely delivery of services to meet deadlines. Collaborate in a highly transactional, government- and client-driven environment to ensure accuracy in tax reporting. Assist with reconciliation of customer demographic data, transaction data and tax information returns to achieve complete, accurate and timely filing. Support internal and external communications, including obtaining client authorizations and providing status updates and guidance related to the tax compliance process using tax software and standard office tools. Assist with billing and collections for tax compliance and related services. Contribute to training and mentoring of less experienced team members on administrative tasks and tax compliance processes as needed. Qualifications
Bachelor degree (Accounting, Business, Finance or equivalent preferred). 1–2 years of experience. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and ability to learn other software applications. Working knowledge of 1099/1042-S reporting systems and tax compliance and information reporting rules. Ability to work effectively independently and in a team, with the capability to handle multiple projects of varying complexity. Strong organizational and verbal/written communication skills and ability to follow standardized processes. Ability to travel periodically (5%–10%). Ideally, you’ll also have
Experience in a professional services environment. Proven experience with information reporting and withholding tax laws to prepare US federal and state information and withholding tax returns. Experience with tax withholding validation and complete tax withholding certificates, FATCA/CRS reporting templates, and trust tax software proficiency. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Flexibility to adapt work style to collaborate with internal and client teams. What We Look For
