Worker Type: Employee Worker Sub-Type: Regular Cost Center: CC005709 MCP - Columbia Primary Care Knox Abbott Dr Pay Rate Type: Hourly, Salary Pay Grade: Health-33 Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Work Shift: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm Responsibilities

Provide direct care to patients through taking comprehensive histories and performing physical examinations. Evaluate and treat based on history, physical exam, radiological, laboratory, and other diagnostic test results within the practice guidelines. Initiate referrals to other health care providers and/or consult with the attending or collaborating physician. Document and bill for direct care provided; use current research and evidence-based decision-making. Participate in quality/performance improvement activities and clinical research; support accreditation, compliance, and regulatory activities. Maintain professional practice through active participation in professional organizations and continuing education. Potential to precept students and facilitate learning of new team members. Maintain licenses, certifications, and continuing education credits as required by policies and state law. Qualifications & Experience

Required Training: Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and currently licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physician Assistant OR completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program and currently licensed or eligible for licensure as an APRN. Preferred Experience: Minimum of 2 years of family medicine experience as a PA or FNP. Licensure/Certifications: All certifications must be current prior to start date, including Basic Life Support (BLS) and DHEC and DEA licenses. Job Duties

Continuous ability to stand, walk, and sit; bend, kneel, climb stairs; reach; manual dexterity; vision requirements; ability to work in a latex-safe environment; lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted; work in dusty areas or confined spaces as needed.
