Job Overview: As a committed, proactive Entertainment Manager, you will work with the General Manager to hire and train bowling, arcade and outdoor activities staff, and ensure that patrons receive excellent service. The role of an Entertainment Manager is to supervise and coordinate the entire interactive entertainment team. They must ensure the guest receives a warm welcome and that service and equipment runs smoothly. You will also manage redemption inventory and resources pertaining to the bowling and outdoor spaces, help the marketing team with promotional events, ensure that quality and safety controls are followed, maintain current licenses, create schedules, and work with the operations team to set business objectives to increase profits and maximize customer satisfaction. You should also be able to work with diverse personalities and diffuse tense situations. This position requires you to work during the evening, on weekends, and on holidays.

Responsibilities

Participate in hiring, training, motivating and coaching employees as they provide attentive, efficient service to guests, assessing employee performance, and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities.

Resolving conflicts or concerns from guests and employees.

Monitoring department activity and ensuring it is properly staffed.

Ensuring staff members follow company policies and procedures.

Keeping up to date on personnel records and certifications needed for the staff.

Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward guests and team members at all times.

Prepare and submit your department’s biweekly payroll.

Responding promptly to guest requests.

Communicating and coordinating as a team with your fellow colleagues.

Ensure customer satisfaction and provide professional guest support.

Remaining attentive to corporate requests and mindful of related responsibilities.

Cleaning.

You will likely find yourself doing a wide variety of tasks each time you work. You might take reservations but still help a guest at the redemption counter or lend a hand oiling bowling lanes or repairing a downed game.

Completing any other duties as delegated or directed by your supervisor or department heads at the corporate level (i.e. payroll, inventory special events).

General Qualifications

Management Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role, ideally within interactive entertainment, hospitality, or a guest-focused industry.

Leadership and Coaching: Demonstrated ability to hire, train, motivate, and coach a diverse team to achieve high performance and consistent service standards.

Conflict Resolution: Skill in diffusing tense situations and resolving conflicts or concerns effectively with both guests and employees.

Compliance Knowledge: Working knowledge of quality and safety controls, as well as the ability to maintain necessary licenses and certifications.

Availability: Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays, as these are the busiest times for the theatre.

Essential Functions

Staff Management & Development: Supervise, coordinate, hire, train, motivate, and coach the entire interactive entertainment team (bowling, arcade, and outdoor activities staff).

Guest Experience Leadership: Ensure all patrons receive a warm welcome and excellent service; quickly and professionally resolve conflicts or concerns from Guests and employees.

Operational Supervision: Monitor department activity to ensure it is properly staffed and functioning smoothly; ensure the guest service and equipment (bowling lanes, arcade games, etc.) runs efficiently.

Administrative and Payroll Duties: Prepare and submit the department’s biweekly payroll; maintain up-to-date personnel records and certifications required for the staff.

Resource and Inventory Control: Manage redemption inventory and other resources pertaining to the bowling and outdoor spaces.

Safety and Maintenance: Ensure all quality and safety controls are followed; assist with maintaining and occasionally repairing departmental equipment (e.g., oiling bowling lanes or repairing a downed game).

Strategic Collaboration: Work with the General Manager and operations team to set business objectives to increase profits and maximize customer satisfaction; assist the marketing team with promotional events.

Policy Enforcement: Ensure staff members consistently follow all company policies and procedures.

Cleaning and Upkeep: Perform general cleaning duties within the department to maintain a professional and sanitary environment.

Cross-Functional Support: Complete any other duties as delegated or directed by supervisors or corporate department heads (e.g., taking reservations, helping at the redemption counter).

Physical Demands

Mobility and Movement: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while supervising and monitoring various entertainment areas (arcade, bowling, outdoor).

Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands and arms for administrative tasks, managing inventory, and potentially assisting with the repair and maintenance of equipment.

Reaching and Bending: Ability to reach, bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch as required to perform job duties, including cleaning or basic equipment repairs.

Lifting: Ability to lift, move, and transport items (e.g., supplies, inventory) safely, potentially up to 35 pounds, as part of varied duties.

Mental Stamina: Mental stamina to work in a fast-paced environment while diffusing tense situations and maintaining professionalism and guest focus, particularly during peak times (evenings/weekends/holidays).

Environmental Tolerance: Ability to work in varying conditions, including crowded environments and areas with flashing lights or noise typical of a theatre and arcade setting.
