HOMEBUILDERS - evidence-based family preservation model rated as a Well Supported program by the Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse. Responsibilities

Provide intensive family preservation services using the HOMEBUILDERS model, including crisis intervention, counseling, skill-building, concrete services, and advocacy. Serve two to three families whose children are at imminent risk of out-of-home placement, or who are in placement and cannot be reunified without intensive in-home services; services primarily rendered in client homes. Conduct clinical interventions aligned with HOMEBUILDERS standards, using a range of clinical, concrete, and advocacy services; conduct data collection and reporting in a thorough and timely manner. Provide client-interactive, comprehensive, strength- and behavior-focused assessments; collaborate with family members and referents to develop intervention goals and service plans related to risk of out-of-home placement; monitor progress, analyze barriers, adjust goals as needed. Advocate for clients and families; provide concrete goods and services such as transportation as needed and teach families to meet these needs independently. Back up and support other specialists as needed. Ensure service definitions and guidelines align with HOMEBUILDERS standards. Assess home safety and environment; apply clinical strategies that promote safety. Maintain clear and concise documentation of treatment efforts; submit weekly production reports to supervisor in a timely manner in accordance with contract requirements and program policy. Be available to clients 24/7 as needed and arrange appropriate coverage. Utilize systems for data gathering, submission, and tracking of client services according to contract requirements and policy; complete weekly sessions with families as outlined in HOMEBUILDERS standards; work with supervisor on quality improvement plans. Establish and maintain referral and community resources; facilitate flexible appointment times outside regular business hours if needed. Attend weekly meetings with supervisor to review case plans and progress; attend weekly group consultations with HOMEBUILDERS team. Stay informed of community resources and regulatory requirements related to social services; pursue ongoing trainings relevant to funding sources. Complete other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Human Services, or related field with at least two years of experience with children and families, or a Master’s degree in Social Work, Social Services, or related field with relevant experience. Demonstrated experience working with children and families from diverse cultures; sensitivity to cultural differences and norms. Strong clinical and crisis intervention skills; knowledge of state, community and agency resources. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage and serve a wide range of clients with a nonjudgmental attitude and confidentiality. Ability to provide compassionate customer service and work independently; available outside normal business hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) as needed. Must live within sixty minutes of proximity to most families served; computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite. Must be 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and at least 3 years driving experience in the U.S. to operate a vehicle for Bethany; pass a Motor Vehicle Records check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate coverage. Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection registries; subscribe to and integrate the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Commitment to Unity.
