Proofreader, Bible and Church Resources

Overview Crossway is a not-for-profit publisher of Christian books, the English Standard Version (ESV) Bible, and other gospel literature. The purpose of Crossway is to publish gospel-centered, Bible-centered content that will honor our Savior and serve his Church. We seek to help people understand the massive implications of the gospel and the truth of God’s Word, for all of life, for all eternity, and for the glory of God.

Base pay range $45,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr

Responsibilities The Bibles and Church Resources proofreader is responsible for assisting the Bible and Church Resources team by proofreading new products and performing other editorial tasks as needed. This is a non-remote position.

Qualifications

Basic and growing knowledge of the English language, including grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and punctuation

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Highly organized and detail oriented

Willingness to learn the principles set forth in the Chicago Manual of Style, 18th edition

Aptitude with Microsoft Word

Experience working in Adobe InCopy and InDesign, preferred but not necessary
