DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
UW Medicine Supply Chain Management enhances our patient care experience by delivering a robust foundation of services, operational and technical support, and the sharing of comprehensive, relevant, and highly specialized supply chain management expertise.POSITION HIGHLIGHTS* Maintain an appropriate level of general, medical, and surgical supplies throughout the facility by utilizing effective stocking procedures* This position reports to the local Supply Chain Materials & Logistics Supervisor/ManagerPRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES* Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining adequate stock and distributing general, medical, and surgical supplies and equipment throughout the hospital* Manage rental equipment using Supply Chain point-of-use (POU) systems* Use tech like handhelds, package scanners, and Materials Management Information Systems (MMIS) to ensure proper inventory and cost allocationsREQUIREMENTS* High school graduation or equivalent* Six months of supply chain experienceOR* Equivalent experience/education may be considered where not legally requiredABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-NORTHWEST
