At G&S Business Communications, we’re searching for an Account Executive who’s passionate about connecting ideas, stories, and audiences. You’ll help bring client strategies to life through smart execution, thoughtful collaboration, and exceptional attention to detail. From pitching media to developing content, this role blends creativity and precision to support some of the agency’s most dynamic client programs. Duties:
Responsible for coordinating and executing earned media, employee communications and organic social media, including: Content development and editing for various mediums including traditional media, social media, corporate blogs/intranet, and executive messaging. Coordinate social media posts and visual assets with community manager. Prepare content for digital execution, including management of social media scheduling tools like Hootsuite. Developing content for paid promotions and coordinating placement with the media team. Develop proactive media relations pitches, secure placements and maintain reporter relationships over time. Develop and maintain relationships with local influencers and manage engagements. Learn the client markets, products, audience and how to apply knowledge to creative content aligned to audience and channel. Understand and follow project processes with the ability to execute projects with little oversight. Exhibit initiative and ownership over assigned tasks — a self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively. Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, with the ability to pivot quickly and reprioritize as needs shift. Serve as a peer resource. Collaborate with account senior leaders and the analysts to develop and deliver performance reports that provide actionable recommendations. Provide regular proactive updates to supervisors and project managers on projects and responsibilities. Participate in agency staff and group meetings. Track/enter time with precision on a daily basis. Special projects as needed. Skills/Qualifications:
Minimum of 1-3 years agency or corporate communications experience A strong understanding of and experience with digital channels, technology and media are required A willingness to be proactive and work effectively in an exciting and fast-paced team environment. Ability to apply logical thinking to problem‑solving; providing practical solutions that achieve results. Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to interact with clients, vendors and co‑workers. Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Must be a team player with the ability to work autonomously in a hybrid office or remote environment. Experience in internal communications, employee engagement, and/or change management communications a plus. We prefer our candidate to be local to the Michigan area, however will consider remote employees in the following states: NC, SC, IL, NY, FL, MD, MI, MN, MO, NM, TX, NE, KS, OK, WI, IA, NM, KY.
