Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Sales Estimator
with a strong background in
metal fabrication and stamping
to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong communication and customer service skills to provide accurate cost estimates and help drive business growth. Key Responsibilities
Review blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements. Calculate labor hours, material needs, machine setups, and overall project costs for manufacturing parts. Identify cost-effective solutions and production methods to improve profitability and efficiency. Utilize estimating tools and software to prepare accurate and timely quotes. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure quotes align with production capabilities and timelines. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during the quoting process. Communicate technical details clearly, helping customers understand the steps involved in production. Track orders, respond promptly to inquiries, and ensure customer satisfaction. Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients to support business growth. Work closely with sales, engineering, and production teams to ensure seamless project execution. Provide feedback to management and manufacturing teams to support process improvements. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as needed to ensure competitive and accurate pricing. Qualifications
3+ years of experience in
metal fabrication ,
metal stamping , or related manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents. Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Background in
tool and die
or
quality control
is a plus. Seniority level
