Hello. My name is Don Viterelli. I am one of the hospital based radiology managers. I oversee the cat scan M. R. I. And ultrasound departments here in radiology. Um One of the most unique parts of my day coming to cooper is that I never know what I'm going to walk into. Um Which makes it very exciting because I love problem solving. I love helping out my coworkers. I love working with other department heads to try to provide the best patient care and also to ensure that our patients have the best outcome possible. Interviews and screen patients prior to MRI procedures to ensure there are no safety concerns/contraindication. Performs MRI procedures following the protocols established by the Radiologists. Begins studies, transfers images, documents patient history, and completes studies in EPIC / EMR and PACS system Experience Required
Canon MRI experience preferred but not necessary. Able to correctly apply MRI compatible monitoring system/IV infusion pump to patients when necessary. Excellent organizational skills and communication skills are needed to effectively orchestrate the daily workflow of patients. Highly developed customer service skills are required. The ability to work well as part of a team. Education Requirements
A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required Graduate of AMA Approved RT Program License/Certification Requirements
Current ARRT License (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists); Magnetic Resonance Imaging certification preferred BLS/CPR preferred, required after 6 months' employment Special Requirements
Rotating holiday shifts per year required
