Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring an active IL RN license and strong procedural skills.
Responsibilities Work in a hospital-based Vascular Interventional Radiology department Patient population includes those requiring peripheral vascular, venous central line, tube changes, embolization, and thrombectomy procedures Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with four 9-hour shifts per week No on-call or weekend shifts specified Uses Epic EMR system; prior Epic experience required Level 1 Trauma Center experience is required Administers medications and manages patients during moderate sedation for procedures Monitors hemodynamics and documents procedure events Responsible for initial assessments, developing and updating care plans, and ensuring patient safety Expected to provide constructive feedback and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams No travel partners permitted for this assignment RTO not to exceed 7 days within the 13-week contract Contingent workers may not be on assignment for more than 1 year without a 6-month break before returning
Requirements Active Illinois RN license in good standing; temporary license accepted Minimum of one year relevant IR nursing experience required; three years preferred ASN required; BSN preferred Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (American Heart Association) Experience with peripheral vascular procedures, venous central lines, venous thrombectomy, arterial/venous embolization, and tube changes Epic charting and Level 1 Trauma experience required Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
