Director of Infrastructure About the Company Innovative provider of AI infrastructure solutions Industry Information Technology and Services Type Privately Held About the Role We are looking for a dynamic Director of Infrastructure to spearhead the development of state-of-the-art GPU clusters. This essential role will oversee the entire lifecycle of infrastructure projects, including site selection and data center integration, while designing modular systems to facilitate global expansion. The chosen candidate will serve as the primary liaison across multiple teams to promote collaboration and interoperability. Building and nurturing relationships with vendors for high-performance deployments will be key. A strong emphasis on monitoring, capacity forecasting, and ensuring reliability is necessary, along with the capability to lead a team of skilled engineers and specialists. Applicants should have at least 10 years of experience in constructing large-scale data centers and computational infrastructure, ideally with a background in AI/ML, HPC, or hyperscale environments. Extensive technical knowledge in GPU clusters, high-density computing, power and thermal management, and network design is essential. A proven track record of successfully launching major infrastructure initiatives is a must. This role requires expertise in NVIDIA GPUs and related technologies, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to manage vendor relationships effectively. A strategic approach to cost/performance tradeoffs is crucial.
