Tasks:
Print color separations
Manage mailboxes (proofs, preflight, dieline)
Produce documents (pre-flight, customer proofs, plates)
Correct colors
Analyze customer files entering the art department
Make recommendations for printing (text, format, type of background, color)
Convert files according to press specifications (including overlap and color adjustment)
Create proofs and pre-flights for customer approvals (laser, Epson, PDF)
Notify the problems encountered with the art file in the order form (job ticket)
Communicate with suppliers, internal and external customers when required
Prepare various types of computer documents
Create the assembly and documentation for "trapping" or "stepping"
Transfer approved files to the plates department
All other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience in a similar job or in a flexographic printing environment.
Knowledge of Mac and PC Platforms.
Knowledge of Adobe and Esko Software.
Methodical with good organization skills.
Must be flexible.
Excellent vision and able to differentiate colors.
Good attention to detail and maintain focus.
Able to develop die lines and complete proofs.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Able to work independently as well as in a team.
Works well under pressure.
Able to take the initiative and accurately execute a specified query.
