Overview We’re representing a well-established mortgage lender seeking a
Capital Markets Manager
to oversee all facets of pricing, hedging, pipeline management, and product innovation.
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring market competitiveness, profitability, and flawless execution across all retail secondary marketing functions. The ideal candidate combines analytical precision with leadership experience and thrives in a fast-moving, data-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily pricing, margin management, and rate sheet distribution to align with market movements and corporate profitability goals.
Manage lock desk operations, ensuring accurate pricing, timely locks, extensions, and adherence to investor and company guidelines.
Partner with capital markets advisors to monitor hedge positions, interest rate exposure, and execute best-execution trades.
Lead investor relationships, loan sales, and pooling activities to ensure efficient and compliant delivery.
Develop and enhance mortgage product offerings in collaboration with sales, operations, and compliance.
Evaluate market conditions and competitive pricing to drive informed adjustments and product strategies.
Manage a team within the Secondary Marketing department, providing guidance, training, and performance coaching.
Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and Operations to streamline reporting, analytics, and secondary execution.
Qualifications
7+ years
of mortgage industry experience with a focus on Capital Markets.
Minimum of 4-5 direct reports within the last two years.
Deep understanding of
pipeline management, hedging, and investor delivery.
Expertise with
Optimal Blue (or similar PPE) and LOS systems such as Encompass.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to interpret market trends.
Proven leadership experience managing staff and collaborating across departments.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
