Role Overview: As a Tugboat Engineer at Precon Marine Inc, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining tugboats to ensure safe and efficient marine operations. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with marine operations and construction teams to facilitate complex maritime tasks and support project needs. Working on-site in Chesapeake, Virginia, you'll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering excellence in maritime construction.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate tugboats safely and efficiently during various maritime operations.

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on tugboat machinery and systems.

Assist with loading and unloading cargo safely while adhering to safety regulations.

Document daily operations and report any issues to management promptly.

Collaborate with the marine operations team to optimize vessel performance and navigation.

Qualifications: You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

Valid maritime certification and credentials for operating tugboats. Merchant Mariners' Credentials (Required) and TWIC Card (Required)

Experience in marine operations, specifically in tugboat operations.

Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in marine environments.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Bonus If You:

Have experience with heavy marine construction or related services.

Possess additional certifications relevant to marine operation and engineering.

Are familiar with the Chesapeake Bay and its operational challenges.

Employment Type & Availability: This position is Full-Time, Monday through Friday.

Location: This position is on-site only, located in Chesapeake, Virginia, and is open to applicants from Virginia and North Carolina.
