We are looking for a credentialed actuary to join our organization as a Claims Actuary working in tandem with the Reserving and Claims teams to enhance the business’ ability to achieve profitable growth. The Claims Actuary will be an integrated business partner of the Claims department and will provide an analytically focused view of claims, claim characteristics, and performance in the financial aspect of claims. Roles & Responsibilities

Analyses of frequency and severity trends and drivers Identify opportunity areas regarding claims performance Monitor loss adjustment expenses and look for ways to optimize expense Validate initial case reserving methodology and values Monitor case reserve adequacy and trends Collaborate on Catastrophe bulk reserve establishment Measure and forecast the benefits of claims initiatives Facilitate interdepartmental discussions on claim observations and initiatives Lead in the development of new or enhancements to claims reporting Interact regularly with Claims, Product Management, Actuarial Pricing, Reserving, and Finance. Further opportunities exist to enhance and develop business acumen by working and interacting with associates from Underwriting, IT, and other Actuaries in the Munich Re organization. Pricing Associate Actuary

The Pricing Actuary will manage/direct the development, analysis, evaluation and modeling of potential solutions using actuarial and/or predictive modeling methods and processes to support the financial profitability and/or production goals of the company by acting as a high level technical expert. Work with management and corporate areas to provide strategic direction. Lead projects associated with the development and update of actuarial/predictive models and databases through formula development, research on methodologies, and collaboration on technical items. Roles & Responsibilities Complete, and/or lead, actuarial and/or predictive modeling analyses Direct the modification and enhancement of existing applications to address specific issues Direct the completion of required data preparation including data input Manage and/or lead communication, documentation and coordination of information, resolution of technical issues, and activities between actuarial departments, as well as with internal & external colleagues Lead in development of new methodologies, products and procedures Peer review technical actuarial and/or predictive modeling work Participate or lead in the training of others Manage the work for those who are not direct reports Prepare for and Pass Actuarial Exams Ensure all work and work products adhere to applicable Actuarial Standards of Practice as promulgated by the American Academy of Actuaries Maintain an expert level of technical actuarial and statistical skills and concepts Demonstrate ability to apply judgment and problem solving skills to address different, complex and high profile issues Required

5+ Years’ experience in an actuarial capacity in Property & Casualty Insurance Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar Strong analytical abilities including understanding of advanced mathematics and statistical concepts. Membership in the Casualty Actuarial Society with the attainment of Associateship (ACAS) Preferred
