Location/Schedule Macon, GA / 1st shift
What You’ll Do:
Create and manage manufacturing documentation. Develop detailed 3D CAD models, process sketches, and engineering drawings that convey specific manufacturing intent for parts and assemblies.
Design for Manufacturability (DFM). Integrate manufacturing and assembly constraints into product designs, ensuring all concepts meet cost, quality and performance requirements.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, CNC programmers, and management to coordinate design requirements and resolve issues.
Support prototyping and testing efforts, validate design concepts, and update documentation as needed.
Collect and refine initial drawings, calculations, and concepts to produce accurate and complete design models.
Verify design specifications, annotations, and technical data in CAD and manual formats.
Contribute to project planning, milestone tracking, and standardization of design documentation.
Research new materials, technologies, and processes to support continuous improvement and innovation.
Adhere to ISO, safety, and quality standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Who You Are:
A bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Design, or a related field.
An associate’s degree with CAD training.
3-5 years of experience in Mechanical Design or CAD for manufacturing processes.
Experience with 3D Modeling Software (SolidWorks & AutoCAD) is required.
Strong understanding and working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) industry standards.
Must have good math and analytical skills.
Must be self‑motivated and have strong attention to detail.
Must be able to read and interpret technical blueprints.
Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner with the ability to work within strict deadlines.
