We are looking for an exceptional and experience Software Quality Engineer who is excited about ensuring high quality of mobile products across General Motors. The ideal candidate is an expert in automated testing, particularly with BrowserStack, and has a deep understanding of mobile application testing, CI/CD pipelines, and cross-platform environments. This role is critical in driving our testing strategy, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring robust, scalable, and user-friendly applications. What You'll Do

Automation Development: Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts for mobile applications using tools like BrowserStack and Selenium/Appium. Write and execute manual tests for features that cannot be automated Leverage the Insomnia tool to perform API testing and validate the back-office integration within mobile ecosystem. Quality Assurance Leadership: Define and enforce quality standards, create test plans, and develop testing strategies for mobile app features. Cross-Platform Testing: Use BrowserStack to test across multiple devices, OS versions, and screen resolutions. Integration with CI/CD: Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous delivery of high-quality applications. Defect Tracking and Reporting: Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA, and work closely with developers to resolve issues efficiently. Performance Optimization: Conduct performance testing for mobile applications, ensuring optimal performance across diverse conditions. Collaboration: Work with product managers, developers, and other QA engineers to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage. Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior QA engineers in best practices, frameworks, and tools. Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experiencein software testing, with a focus on mobile applications. Proficiency in automated testingtools and frameworks (e.g., Browserstack, PerfectoMobile, Insomia). Knowledge of app testing processes on Google Play Store, TestFlight, Firebase and Apple App Store. Proficiency with Gherkin Proficient developing automated tests using page object model design pattern Extensive experience withBrowserStackor similar cross-platform testing tools. Experience with Test Case Management in ADO, BrowserStack Strong understanding ofmobile app ecosystems, including Android and iOS environments. Experience withCI/CD pipelinesand tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. Expertise in programming/scripting languages likeJava, Python, or JavaScript. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington. The salary range for this role is 131,000 and 202,000. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
