Information Systems Security Engineer
to join a classified defense aviation program located in
Las Vegas, NV
through
100% onsite presence . The
Information Systems Security Engineer
will design, deploy, and maintain cybersecurity infrastructure, perform security assessments and audits, and support national security operations through scripting, automation, and compliance.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity infrastructure for classified systems
Deploy and configure security tools and technologies, including SIEM, EDR, and firewalls
Perform security assessments, audits, and ensure compliance with NIST 800-53 and RMF standards
Troubleshoot and resolve security issues across network and system environments
Document security controls, procedures, and compliance artifacts
Utilize scripting and automation to enhance security operations and threat response
Qualifications
2+ years in cybersecurity or related IT fields
Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or a related field
Active DOE Q or Top Secret clearance
Security+ or Red Hat certification; CISSP preferred
Strong understanding of network and system security principles, including NIST 800-53 and RMF frameworks
Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools and technologies, such as SIEM, EDR and firewalls
Proficiency in scripting and automation to support security operations and infrastructure hardening
Compensation
Salary Range: $130,000-$140,000
