Field Services Technician (BDA/DAS Tech – Level 1)
Location:
Southeast U.S. (Florida or Georgia) Type:
Contract (6 months, potential for extension or direct hire) Travel:
Up to 60–80% – mix of remote and on-site work Pay:
$31–$33/hr.
Overview Seeking a hands‑on
Field Services Technician
to support installation and maintenance of
bi‑directional amplifier (BDA)
and
distributed antenna systems (DAS)
for emergency communication and public safety projects. This is a junior‑level role working closely with a lead technician on site surveys, cabling, and equipment installation.
Responsibilities
Install and terminate DAS components (antennas, coax/fiber/CAT5/DC cabling)
Assist with RF coverage testing, cable sweeps, PIM, and fiber testing
Conduct site surveys and document installation progress
Work safely on rooftops/lifts using fall protection
Communicate clearly with internal teams and clients
Requirements
2–4 years of DAS installation or related field tech experience required
Familiarity with ADRF, Comba, or Solid systems (nice to have)
Basic understanding of NFPA 72/1221 standards preferred
Comfortable with Excel, Word, or Google Sheets
GUI/IP‑based system and RF testing tool experience preferred
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship) required
Physical & Work Conditions
Work at heights (rooftops, lifts) and in indoor/outdoor environments
Occasional overtime (after hours only; no weekends)
Steel‑toe boots required (PPE provided except boots)
