Clover Leaf Solutions, LLC
CEIS | Government is hiring Project Engineers across multiple levels (PE2–PE4) to support mission-critical engineering design and operations efforts at LANL. These roles involve technical leadership, multi-discipline coordination, and project execution across LANL’s nuclear infrastructure programs.
Engineers will contribute to project delivery through technical planning, design integration, field support, and collaboration with construction, operations, and regulatory teams. At the PE4 level, the engineer may take on supervisory responsibilities over engineering tasks and cross-functional coordination.
This is an excellent opportunity for engineers looking to grow their impact within the national security space—whether stepping into design ownership roles or driving full-scope engineering supervision on high-risk infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to or lead engineering activities for large-scale projects, including mechanical, electrical, civil, or systems integration scopes. Develop and coordinate technical deliverables including drawings, specifications, work packages, and reports. Support project planning, risk identification, and milestone tracking in alignment with technical and regulatory requirements. Interface with field engineers, designers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to resolve technical issues. Perform calculations, technical analyses, and reviews in accordance with applicable codes and standards. Participate in project scoping, design reviews, constructability assessments, and field walkdowns. At PE4 level, supervise engineering activities across disciplines and support junior engineer development. Required Qualifications (All Levels)
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited university. Eligible for a DOE Q clearance (Active preferred). Familiarity with engineering design in industrial, utilities, DOE, or nuclear environments. Ability to interpret and apply codes, standards, and technical specifications in a project setting. Effective communicator with strong technical writing and organizational skills. Position Tiers & Experience Expectations
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of relevant engineering experience. Works under supervision to develop technical solutions and support project deliverables. Engages in cross-disciplinary coordination and site walkdowns with guidance from senior engineers. Experience:
Minimum 6 years of engineering experience. Takes ownership of scoped engineering tasks or packages; may coordinate work across small teams or subcontractors. Provides technical leadership within assigned scope and contributes to field issue resolution. Experience:
Minimum 9 years of engineering experience with demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience. Leads engineering teams or supervises cross-discipline engineering scope on major project efforts. Interfaces with project management, clients, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and alignment across engineering functions. Preferred Qualifications
Advanced engineering degree or PE license. Prior experience in DOE, NNSA, or high-security facilities. Knowledge of startup, field engineering, or construction phases. Experience supporting nuclear, process, or high-risk facility design. Proficiency with EVMS, earned-value metrics, or DOE Order 413.3B. Note: CEIS | Government is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, genetics, or protected Veteran status. Because eligibility for DOE clearance is required for this position, we ask the question about citizenship.
