Job Description We are seeking a fellowship trained Retina Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both medical and surgical retina, providing top-notch care to patients with a variety of retinal conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat a wide range of retinal diseases, including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, and more.
Perform advanced surgical procedures such as vitrectomy, retinal detachment repair, and macular hole surgery.
Conduct comprehensive medical retina evaluations and administer treatments like intravitreal injections and laser therapy.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Participate in clinical research and contribute to the advancement of retinal care.
Educate patients and their families about retinal conditions and treatment options.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
Qualifications
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Board certification in Ophthalmology.
Fellowship training in Retina (both medical and surgical).
Valid medical license to practice in North Carolina or willingness to obtain one.
Clinical and surgical skills with a focus on patient‑centered care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
