Our MRI Technologists perform MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) exams in the hospital by selecting specific software parameters according to established protocols to assist the referring physician in diagnosis. The MRI Technologist prepares and positions patients, injects patients with contrast media, and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body. Responsibilities
Summary: Our MRI Technologists perform MRI exams and position patients according to established protocols to assist with diagnosis. They prepare and position patients, may be responsible for contrast administration, and select technical parameters to produce cross-sectional images of the body as required. Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiography program (ARRT) or graduate from American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARM RIT) with an Associate Degree with focus in medical imaging, preferably MRI Licensure, Certification, Registration: ARRT certification in Radiography OR ARRT MRI or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) required Basic Life Support (BLS) With locations around the state, Hartford HealthCare offers exciting opportunities for career development and growth.
