Mammography Technologist Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
Current ARRT certification in Radiology (R) and Mammography (M)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain within 90 days of hire)
Minimum 1 year of experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist
Experience with electronic medical records, PACS, and RIS/HIS preferred
Cross-training in CT, MRI, and DEXA imaging modalities is a plus
Must be at least 18 years old
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Successful completion of background check and pre-employment drug screen
Key Responsibilities – Radiology & Mammography
Perform high-quality mammography and radiologic imaging procedures for diagnostic interpretation
Operate and maintain imaging equipment in accordance with manufacturer and FDA guidelines
Maintain records for accreditation, inspections, and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards
Complete daily quality assurance (QA) and preventative maintenance tasks
Practice radiation safety and adhere to ALARA principles
Verify exam orders, accurately identify patients, and provide patient education for imaging procedures
Document patient medical history, obtain informed consent, and ensure all paperwork is complete
Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR), including procedure and supply charges
Assist with other imaging modalities and cross-train as needed
Support clerical duties, phone reception, and patient transportation as required
Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and commitment to continuous quality improvement in healthcare
Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to all safety and regulatory standards
