Temporary Administrative Assistant / Receptionist โ€“ Onsite; 6โ€“8 week contract with the potential to extend

๐Ÿ•’ Schedule: Mondayโ€“Friday | 9:00 AM โ€“ 5:00 PM


Our client, a leading residential property management company, is seeking a Temporary Administrative Assistant / Receptionist to provide support across two Queens office locations while they conduct a permanent search. This assignment is expected to last 6โ€“8 weeks, with the potential to extend based on business needs.


About the Role

This position offers a mix of administrative, reception, and client service responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be personable, organized, and confident in interacting with both residents and building staff in a professional setting. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting daily office operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist residents and visitors in person with professionalism and warmth.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls to appropriate contacts.
  • Provide general administrative support, including filing, data entry, and document organization.
  • Liaise with building staff and management to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Assist with scheduling, correspondence, and other office support tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain a tidy and welcoming front desk and office environment.


Qualifications & Skills

  • 1โ€“2 years of administrative or reception experience, ideally in a client-facing role.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Professional and polished demeanor when interacting with residents, staff, and vendors.
  • Reliable, organized, and adaptable across multiple office environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.


Hiring Process & Timeline

This role will include a single virtual interview with the hiring managers. The selected candidate will begin as soon as possible, supporting both the Bayside and Rego Park offices.
