Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled
Body Shop Painter
to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to vehicles using electrostatic spray painting equipment and traditional methods. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction and help maintain our high standards of craftsmanship.
Responsibilities:
Operate electrostatic spray equipment and other paint tools to apply finishes in line with factory and dealership standards.
Set up and adjust painting equipment, including controlling spray pressure, flow rate, and pattern to ensure optimal application.
Mix and match paint colors to manufacturer specifications, adjusting consistency with viscometers based on atmospheric conditions.
Inspect finished jobs for quality, including color match, coverage, and surface imperfections like runs or sags.
Touch up areas manually or apply rust-preventive coatings as needed.
Maintain paint booths and equipment, cleaning spray heads, hoses, grids, and walls to ensure a clean work environment.
Follow all safety regulations and procedures, ensuring a safe and compliant workspace.
Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience in automotive painting or related training.
Familiarity with paint mixing, surface preparation, and industry-standard tools and equipment.
Ability to read and follow technical documentation such as procedure manuals and safety rules.
Strong attention to detail, color vision, and manual dexterity.
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record required.
