Job Details

A leading mechanical and controls contractor headquartered in Arkansas and Oklahoma is expanding its operations into West Texas. The company provides full-service solutions for HVAC, mechanical, and building automation systems across commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities.

We’re looking for a skilled Service Technician who can operate independently in the field — someone who takes pride in solving problems, representing the company professionally, and ensuring top-notch system performance and customer satisfaction.

________________________________________ Position Summary The Service Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of mechanical and building automation systems. This includes HVAC equipment, control systems (both electric and pneumatic), boilers, pumps, valves, and variable frequency drives. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can manage their own workload, communicate effectively with customers, and ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently.

________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Independently diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and building automation systems. Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot system issues, and complete repairs to meet performance standards. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control sequences. Prepare for each project by reviewing building layouts, anticipating challenges, and organizing materials. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company procedures. Maintain accurate service documentation, time logs, and parts usage. Serve as the primary customer contact on assigned accounts, ensuring a positive client experience. Support the growth of the West Texas market by representing company values and professionalism.

________________________________________ Qualifications Minimum of 5–10 years of HVAC or building controls service experience. Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems (DDC, pneumatic, and BAS). Proficiency in troubleshooting VFDs, boilers, and HVAC equipment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple service calls. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. EPA Universal Certification required; HVAC Journeyman or related professional license preferred. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
