Position Summary:
We are seeking a creative and proactive Social Media Coordinator to join our growing team. This role will be instrumental in managing our social community and executing content strategies that deepen engagement and brand loyalty. You will serve as the voice of our brand across all social platforms, helping to shape community experiences while creating and supporting platform-first content initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Community Management
Actively manage and engage with our community across all social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, Threads, YouTube, etc.) Drive brand loyalty by initiating two-way conversations, encouraging UGC, and spotlighting superfans Identify opportunities to engage with our community through community-based initiatives (e.g., campaigns, giveaways, AMAs, etc.) Assist in planning and executing social campaigns, takeovers, activations, and community-driven initiatives Support the rollout of product launches, brand announcements, and seasonal campaigns with proactive community messaging Monitor discussions, trends, hashtags, and cultural conversations to keep the brand relevant and responsive Nurture relationships with brand partners, creators, and influencers Create and manage a library of user-generated content that is shared with broader marketing team for use Develop and maintain a tone of voice guide for community engagement, aligned with brand guidelines Respond to DMs, comments, and tagged mentions in a timely, brand-aligned voice Escalate customer issues or sensitive conversations to the appropriate internal teams, ensuring swift resolution Social Content Creation
Attend occasional photo and video shoots to capture social-first content (primarily iPhone-based) aligned with campaign goals and seasonal initiatives. Collaborate with the Social Media Manager and larger Brand Team to concept and execute platform-optimized stories, reels, and short-form video. Assist with editing, captioning, and formatting video cutdowns and content variations for different platforms. Reporting & Insights
Analyze community feedback and surface key insights to the social and marketing teams to optimize messaging, tone, and content direction. Track and report on key community metrics such as engagement rate, response time, growth, sentiment, and platform-specific KPIs Conduct competitor audits and benchmarking to help evolve community practices Share weekly insights to inform broader social and brand marketing strategy Provide qualitative insights that highlight the why behind performance metrics Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in social media, community management, or digital content roles, preferably in lifestyle, home, or e-commerce brands. Strong understanding of social media best practices and platform nuances. Proficient in mobile content creation (iPhone photography and video) and basic editing tools (e.g., CapCut, InShot, Adobe Express). A keen eye for design and brand aesthetics, with a natural alignment to the Studio McGee look and tone. Highly organized and responsive, with strong written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and comfortable in a fast-paced, creative environment. Familiarity with social analytics platforms (e.g., Sprout Social, Dash Hudson, Later). Experience with influencer partnerships or UGC campaigns. Background in customer service, content moderation, or brand storytelling. Benefits:
