Seeking a skilled Mid-Level Cloud Developer to lead the design, development, deployment, and optimization of secure, scalable cloud solutions at the FBI HQ in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate is an expert in DevSecOps, cloud-native development, and enterprise migration strategies, with a strong focus on security, resiliency, and cost-effectiveness. Job Responsibilities
Research, architect, develop, and modify enterprise-wide cloud systems and applications including DevOps, security, and data analytics solutions. Drive and support planning of system and development deployment ensuring compliance with software standards. Implement prototypes using new technologies and innovative techniques. Perform ongoing maintenance and review of application systems, identify problems, and develop solutions. Design and implement reusable, scalable, and secure multi-cloud architectures. Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and automated configuration management using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and GitLab. Enforce DevSecOps best practices to integrate security and compliance into the cloud development lifecycle. Analyze existing applications for cloud readiness and lead cloud migration initiatives. Develop strategies for cloud failure recovery, high availability, disaster recovery, and cost optimization. Collaborate with cybersecurity and compliance teams to ensure cloud deployments meet internal and regulatory standards. Mentor junior and mid-level developers on cloud technologies and best practices. Serve as a technical advisor across cross-functional teams and participate in enterprise-level cloud governance. Job Requirements
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience. At least 5 years of software or cloud development experience, including 3 years in a senior or lead cloud role. Deep hands-on experience with major cloud providers and hybrid/multi-cloud environments. Advanced programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages for cloud-native development. Expertise in automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible, and containerization platforms like Docker and Kubernetes. Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles and secure software development lifecycle. Ability to design and implement cloud service delivery models (PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, DaaS) that meet business, security, and compliance requirements. Experience leading cloud migration initiatives with minimal disruption and maximal performance gain. Excellent communication and mentorship skills to guide junior and mid-level developers. Active TS clearance or ability to obtain and maintain it.
