Description

The Section of Nephrology & Hypertension at Tulane University School of Medicine is recruiting for a Clinician-Educator faculty position. The Section of Nephrology oversees inpatient services that include care of acute and chronic kidney disease, provision of dialysis services, fluid and electrolyte problems, and glomerulonephritis and kidney transplant. The outpatient services include care of chronic kidney disease, glomerulonephritis, transplant, and hypertension. Hospitals covered include East Jefferson General Hospital, University Medical Center, and the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Healthcare System. The physician will participate in the teaching and clinical programs of the Residents, Fellows, and medical students. The candidate will have on-call coverage on a rotating basis. The physician will attend on the inpatient services along with the Fellows. The Physician will have outpatient duties on a continuing basis. Assistant Professors, Associate Professors and candidates that are presently finishing fellowship are all encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

1. Medical degree required.

2. Board certification or eligibility in general Nephrology is required.

3. Eligible for medical license in the state of Louisiana as well as CDS and DEA required.

4. Prior experience in teaching residents/fellows/students.
