Job Description: Sit-Down/Stand-Up Forklift Operator
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled
Sit-Down/Stand-Up Forklift Operator
to safely and efficiently operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials within a warehouse or production environment. The ideal candidate will have experience handling materials, ensuring inventory accuracy, and following safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities: Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move materials throughout the facility. Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of products to prevent damage. Transport, stack, and store products in designated areas. Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts. Follow all safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate PPE. Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and report discrepancies. Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including picking, packing, and organizing stock. Work efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining quality and safety standards. Requirements: Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one. Proven experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting. Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and safety awareness. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to work overtime and flexible shifts if needed. Preferred Qualifications: Experience handling fragile or hazardous materials. Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
